I am moving in a few weeks... in with a roommate who is allergic to cats. He suggested Allerpet C spray that denatures the protiens in the dried saliva on their hair. Ive googled it and it says its safe and completely non toxic... I also called my vet today and left a message to ask (nothing will be sprayed on my kitty unless its completely harmless). I havent heard back, but was wondering if anyone has had any good (or bad) experiences with this product?
Thanks!

I don't know about it - I've heard of people wiping the cats down daily with distilled water on a moistened cloth. :dk:
Basically - if you can cut down on the dander, you can cut down on allergy issues.

I used it way back when I had a roommate and had just gotten Raven:rbheart: and Nabu. Her BF was allergic to cats. According to my roommate it worked. How I found out is kind of bad...I got ticked as he was a total mooch and was stealing my food so I stopped treating the cats with it.:devilish: Bad I know, but after they broke up she told me his allergies got noticeably worse after I did that.:anon:

How did your cats tolerate it?

They tolerated it well. At the time I was also bathing them once a week to keep the dander down.
