View Full Version : Underbelly fur .. groom or not?

My cat was spayed back in April and her belly fur has all grown back beautifully. However, the fur on her underbelly is really long and I was wondering if it should be trimmed off a bit. It looks like as if she has a chunk of fur down there which is unsightly but doesn't seem to bother her much. So, if it's only for cosmetic reason, should it be done or should I just let her bask in her natural glory?

The underbelly should not be shaved. It should be combed to prevent any tangles/knots forming. The belly fur is fine and can easily get tangles in it. Make it part of the normal grooming routine.

Thanks a lot! I'll make sure to pay extra attention to her belly. She has the softest fur and it really wouldn't want to trim it.
