Hi all,

I just wanted to share an idea about cleaning the box. I discovered that empty coffee containers (the plastic ones, about 10" high and 6" diameter with the snap on lid) work great as mini litter lockers. I line it with a plastic bag and then toss the bag every 2 days (keeping the container). It saves having to toss out 2 or 3 small bags a day whenever I scoop out the boxes.
I thought the statement "aroma seal" on the container lid was appropriate :lol3:

awesome idea! :lol3:

haha, i should try it myself. Right now I use the empty bags from their dry food, and just toss the whole bag when its full. But I think we could really use the aroma seal! :lol3:

sounds great but we don't go through that much coffee - I'll stickk to my real litter locker for now.

I have been transferring litter into the containers with pour spouts and using the big tubs the litter comes in for poop, but your way sounds much easier to handle. I must try it:)

That's a great idea! I have one of those "aroma seal" coffee containers that's almost empty. I was trying to think of what to do with it. Thanks! :bigthumb:

What an excellent idea! Controls odor and cuts down on the number of plastic bags being tossed out. Thank you!

Thanks, I'm thinking of making a few to sell at the fundraising garage sale for the rescue organization I volunteer with. I was thinking of including a cylinder, a litter scoop and a few small bags. Do you think people would buy these? If so, how much? (Now I just need to find all those empty coffee containers )

May I suggest a couple of cubes or slivers of charcoal in the canister - it will absorb even more of the odour...so that when you open the can you wont faint! :) Even a few coffee beans will work!

What a great idea! Maybe it's gross, but right now I just scoop into the kitchen trash. Can't stand the thought of wasting plastic bags. I will try your idea for sure, even though we don't drink coffee, I'll find one!

(Aroma seal :lol3: )

paint the outside of the containers a nice color to disguise the name of the coffee company!

I currently use zip lock bags. i buy the cheap ones from the dollar store for this use.
