That's a nice enclosure. The cats cannot get their heads thru the openings in the wire? Also, keep in mind that if you get a smaller kitten in the future, they may be able to get out between the wire spaces :)

How wonderful, the kitties can safely spend time outside. :) I'd love to do something like that, but my condo won't allow it.

No they can't that was my biggest fear as well. That the would be able to get their head in and get stuck. We were able to buy just a small section and take it home and try it out on the cats. Once I had it home and compared it to the cats, I knew it was ok.
NO more cats for a long time but Thanks for the concern. Eventually there will be a cat door leading out into the enclosure.

Takoda was terrible trying to get into that room before we were done. Actually he went right through the screen. So we had to just shut the windows until it was safe for them to come out. He was bound and determined to help.

Wow, thats amazing!

Any time!

One other suggestion. You have no cover (plastic) over the top or a enclosure where the cats can run into if you get a sudden shower/downpour. Might want to put one of those igloo dog houses in there for them to get out of the rain or sun if they don't run back inside :)

I can tell you having an outside enclosure is one of the best things I have done for my cats! I can already tell your cats love it as much as mine love ours :) Lol I saw the white chair inside and I use the same chair in mine.

I do have a cat door on my window and I also have 4 shelves at different heights for the cats. Unfortunately it is winter here so our window is closed, but poor Veeshan sits at the window doing her whisper meows. She can't wait for spring!

You did a fantastic job with the scratching post, too. Would you mind if I asked you how you made it?

That's a terrific enclosure, Eva, and I'm sure the cats will be spending a lot of time out there, especially in the summer.

There are some people on the turtle forum that i post on that build stuff like that for their turtles, tortoises, etc. That's amazing.

Nice enclosure lucky kitties. You might want to relocate the Sago Palm, it is poisonous.

You did a fantastic job with the scratching post, too. Would you mind if I asked you how you made it?

8 foot wooden fence post cut into 3 foot sections with 2ft left over
100 feet of sisal rope 3/8th thick - this will make 1 3foot scratching post
1 inch thick 24x24 plywood as the base.
4 fence nails and a hot glue gun to hold it together.

We will have a cat door as well. One project at a time my DH says. ;)

DH installed/built this cat door for the cats with our first enclosure on the front porch. He plans to do the same thing with the new enclosure too.

I didn't know that. Thanks. I've looked everywhere trying to find out if it was poisonous but couldn't find anything.

I spy a kitty on the outside (top) of the enclosure. Is that a visitor or one of your own?

That's just fantastic! I am always worried about my indoor/outdoor cats and this has to be the neatest solution I've seen.

Once we move into a house, I'll have to get the hubby to work! :)
Thanks for sharing :)

that is brilliant! we are going to build a very similar enclosure for our kittens. we have french doors leading out onto the patio and the idea is to build the enclosure so that we can open the doors and the kittens have the whole patio to play on, plus some planted pots with kitty grass and some climbing frames.

thanks for sharing!

What an awesome enclosure! My group would like to come visit for a long weekend! ;) They've been taking turns sunbathing on the back of the loveseat just for a little sunshine. I know they're all going to do flips when we're all moved and they have a screen porch to enjoy again!
