Are you supposed to cut the bag off after 2 weeks(ish) and tie a new knot in the bottom to use the rest of the refill, or do you replace the whole refill every 2 weeks?

I don't get it :emba:

I have a litter locker and the only time I cut the bag and start a new one is when it is full and can no longer turn.

but do you start a whole new refill? or use part of the refill bag, cut it, use the rest?

I was just thinking about looking into a litter locker this morning. We now use (mostly) cloth bags for groceries so I don't get as many plastic bags which I used to use for litter. So, I thought a litter locker might be a good solution as I don't want to go back to using grocery bags. Anyway, I'm wondering how well it does with containing the smell? When I use the grocery bags if I toss them in the laundry room trash (where the box is) it begins to smell after a week or so... does the LL keep smells in longer?

Cut it when full, dispose of the full part, pull a little more down from the refill, tie a new knot it it, and repeat until there is no more of the bag left in the refill.

there will be a black line that shows up in the bag to show you when you are nearing the end of the refill.
