MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia expressed surprise on Tuesday that the United States had scrambled fighter jets at the weekend to intercept strategic Russian bombers, one of which flew over a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Pacific.

Ummm...what did they expect? This is what usually happens when a Bear does a buzz over a carrier. SOP as far as the USN is concerned.

Last i looked the us and russia where not on the each others friends list anymore.
They been doing this stuff with the UK, japan, just like the old days.

As far as I can tell, it's Russia who have been spouting the cold war rhetoric, so why shouldn't we respond the same way? Regardless, if ANY country did that I'm pretty sure the response would have/should have been the same. Doesn't matter if it was Russia, China, Canada or Britain.
