I was trimming Chloe's claws and I felt like it was going quite well (I was completely freaked out, having never done it before. I was terrified of hurting her).

Well, I accidentally clipped one too short (too close to the quick). Or started to, her yelping stopped me before it was cut. It didn't bleed but now I've noticed that it's all red, like it was bleeding on the inside.

Is there anything I should put on it or just leave it alone?

I think it will be fine..I don't think its a terrible thing to happen. I would just keep an eye on it and make sure she doesn't seem to be in pain after tonight..

I don't know for sure though, so maybe someone else will be by to give better advice.

It will probably be sore for awhile but she will be fine. I've done it before and the cat survived and still let me cut nails later; tho she might be a bit skittish about that one claw for awhile.
