I didn't know whether this should go in this thread or the pregnancy thread.

Anyway, my cat Dinky gave birth to four kittens two nights ago.

She didn't use the litter until this morning so I assumed it was because she didn't want to leave the cats. And then, it was runny.

She went back to the babies. A few hours later, she goes to the littler again and it's just the same - then she runs behind the TV and throws up.

Is this just general sickness linked to her giving birth? Or should I take her to the vet?

She's thrown up twice now and used the litter three times today.

It sounds like she should see the vets just to be safe.

I went to the vets and she gave Dinky two injections to help. She said that I have to bring her back tomorrow. If she gets worse, I'll have to bottle feed the kittens.

But now she's refusing to eat anything and runs off to hide in dark, quiet areas. She only comes back once every half hour to check on the kittens. But she is obviously not very happy.

I don't know much about female cats giving birth (I've always had male cats), but what you describe doesn't sound very normal. I would definately contact the vet again for an opinion..:confused:I hope it's nothing serious!
