We just picked up our cat from boarding her for 6 days. She has a terrible odor to her now and it even clings to me when i pick her up. I've had the cat for just about a year, and she has never smelled like this before. We have used bath wipes and spray baths. Two questions. What could have caused the odor? and what is the best way to get rid of the odor shy of full on bathing her?
Thanks for your input

Well the only solution IS to give her a full bath. Perhaps it was one of the cleaners they used in the cage? Maybe the type of litter? Maybe another cat sprayed on your cat.
But I would just give your cat a full bath and have it over with :)

Did you supply her food or did they feed her whatever they have on hand?
It often seems like the odor of what you have eaten seeps out the pores.

My cats always come back smelling like the vet's office even after a quick trip for a regular visit, so it's probably something they cleaned with, something they use as an air freshener, or something your cat ate. Also, as someone mentioned, your cat could've been sprayed by another cat.
