Ashie is in DIRE need of a bath......she has always had this flaky skin condition that gets worse when her coat gets matted areas and gets greasy....and it is time for a bath for her (I've got the mats out, but still needs a bath).
We are in MI and it is going to be like 30 all week....and we have like a foot of snow...but should I not give her a bath in the winter or is it ok? She is totally an indoor cat (never goes out)....but I wanted to ask first...I don't want a frigid kitty!!!!
Thanks!

Why not??? As long as your home is warm then all should be well.
Is Ashie long hair or short hair?

She is long hair and doesn't really shed like a lot of cats do. When she does...it may be a clump you see where she was laying...but totally not like cat hair around the house..strange. But....that was a reason why I was concerned about it being winter.....it takes her a while to dry.

I give my indoor kitty a bath every week. Do you have a space heater, she might like that. Also, we have heated cat beds around the house for the kitty.

I use to groom cats/dogs. Not a prob to bathe in the winter also if your cat is long haired you should use a comb instead or with a brush. it helps get those tuffs out before they become matts. Also you should make sure you brush the kitty after the bath (you probly know that :))

I had to bathe Abi yesterday because after throwing up hair balls plus....her tail was sitting in the gunk. Jim picked her up as if she were toxic waste and I ran the sink water RIGHTAWAY before she trailed vomit through the house. sorry for the details .LOL
my point is she was fine.

Yes - those with show cats don't stop showing in winter cause they don't want to give a bath :)
You can wash your kitty ANY time of the year. In the winter just be sure the cat is kept warm after - no drafts (if longhair you can blow dry - which you should anyway).
I like to take 2 towels and throw them in the dryer for a few mins to really get them nice and warm to wrap the cats in when getting out of the water. Spooky was a show cat - he was bathed before every show no matter what month it was. :)

I bathe my inside cats in the winter. I just turn the heat up to 78-80 the day I'm bathing them. I would not bathe an outdoor cat in the winter unless you could keep him in for a couple of days.

:) I usually bathe my babies every other week. I try to dry them real good with a towel though in the winter. Penelope doesn't mind the hairdryer on her if you keep the heat low and brush her along with it. :)

I bathed mine just last week, I just put the towels in the dryer to keep them warm and turn up the heat until they are completely dry
