Nice to meet everyone. My name is Chuck. Both Meghan(my girlfriend) and I will be using this login to talk about cats. We recently adopted a cat from Petsmart. His name was Sweetie, a 6 year old male. We figured why buy a new kitten when there are cats that need to be adopted and are just a great (especially since they usually come neutered and litterbox trained). We decided to change his name to Sweeny because it was more masculine. Below is a picture of Sweeny. He is such a good boy but loves hanging out behind the tv and entertainment center with all of the wires.

Sweeny is a good name. I don't know why, but he even looks like a Sweeny! Welcome to TCS!

When they have names that long, and you want to change it, you want to find something that sounds close to it, which is what you did! :) :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for adopting Sweeny (who's extremely handsome, but then, we guess YOU KNEW THAT) from PetsMart, and THANK YOU for advocating for adult cat adoptions -- it's true, adult cats are so great and most of them do have all the "advantages" you mention, and then some! Yes, we agree with you 100% -- until there are none, ADOPT ONE (or more!) and you'll never be sorry! As you can see, we take that very seriously. Our human does, anyway -- she's lived with, loved, rescued, and advoCATed for cats all her life, and our family currently boasts 9 of us, ranging from Nicolas T. Cat (who's almost 17 years young!) to Suha the Terrible (don't ask!)
