I am a friend of Neetanddaves, I live in Mississippi.

For those of you who have purchased the Cooking with Cattitude cookbook, Miss Belinda and her daughter Desiree' are the ones who put us in touch with the folks at BARL, who will be getting the profits to help with their shelter in Brookhaven MS.

No, I don't have a cat now.

We used to have a cat named Houdini, it was a cat that my sons ex-girlfriend found at our house, it was just a litty bitty kitty when we found it, she wanted to keep it but her parents wouldn't let her have it.

We kept it at our house and after they broke up, she wasn't gonna get it back. One day we discover he wasn't eating so we carried him to the vet and found out that he had feline leukemia, we tried treating him for about a month, but it just wasn't working so we made the painful decision of putting him to sleep. It just about broke my heart.

I am glad that I joined here and I really don't know why it has taken me so long.

I would like to thank everyone here for choosing BARL for the donations. This is a no kill shelter that my daughter volenteers at. They are currently building a new place for all the animals to live.

I do not have any cats.

We do have a dog named Opie that found our home almost 4 years ago.

We had a dog named Sambo that we had to put to sleep in March of this year. He was almost 16 years old. He had been sick for a while with fluid on his little lungs, he was blind too. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.

I work at a kindergarden/day care. I have been married to the same man for almost 30 years. We have two children, our son is married and lives in Anderson, South Carolina. He has been married for two years and they have no children.:( :( . Our daugher is also married. She has been married for almost 5 years, and they have no children either.:( :( . I do have two grandpuppies though.:lol3: :lol3:

Me and my husband are Nascar fans. I met neetandave two years ago. Me and Neet were fans of the same driver.

I love watching college football, and you can tell by my screen name that I love LSU. Neet can verify that.:lol3: :lol3:

One of my favorite sanctuaries is in Mississippi, Cedarhill. Do you know it? It's mainly for big cats, but there are little cats there, too, and other animals. They really do some amazing work rescuing big cats, who are all too often homeless and in great danger as a result of having been someone's "pets"...

We are 9 rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered of course! felines and one devoted human servant. Glad you could make it here and, though your loss is a sad one, hope that in the future you might be able to open your heart and home to more cat(s) -- we both know how many wonderful cats there are out there who desperately need loving, forever homes!
