Hi!
I discovered catsite.com by accident and think it is a wondreful site! We have three persians (one black & white, smokey, and one orange). We had a fourth one (chinchilla color) but she died of kidney failure after 15 years. She was almost human to us. I recently adopted a stray (calico) that was coming to our house because she was starving. She is very friendly, but doesn't talk very much. So now we have an unusual mix who are trying to adjust to each other. I am excited at being able to meet new people and what their experiences have been with cats. I have had cats all throughout my life as a child growing up so not having a cat would be a loss.

Welcome! I wish my Calico didn't talk so much. That is all she does. We have conversations!

Our beautiful calico (Felicity) only started talking after Adelaide came to live with us. Before that she had never found her voice. Now, she talks to complain about Adelaide frequently:lol3:

Welcome, Duchess and Family!
Glad you've found TheCatSite and hope you enjoy it as much as we do! You sound a lot like me. I've always loved, lived with, rescued, and advoCATed for cats, and the few times I've been catless have been absolutely awful! Currently, there are 9 indoor-only, rescued, spayed/neutered feline family members here, from Nicolas at going on 17, to Baby Su, at just 2. In February it will be two years since we lost our beloved Moti girl to CRF, so we know about kidney failure, and empathize with you. I also know "almost human" -- in fact, my best friends have ALWAYS been feline. Don't get me wrong -- I love people and have a lot of friends all over the world -- but having been born into a house with a cat, they've always been my closest friends and confidantes and their unconditional love and loyalty just can't be matched.
Your family sounds lovely. We have a rescued calico as well, named Maryam.
Look forward to seeing you and your babies on here!
