Perkins (n.n.'s: Pumpkins, Orange Boy) is a very curious and out-going kitty. All three siblings are so very different. He loves to eat and eat anything. At first, I had to stand to eat my meals because he was so insistent on eating my food. I couldn't bring myself to holler at him so finally my husband, Larry, trained him. It took many pushes down to the floor to keep him away. But he eventually learned to wait. Now he sits and watches us eat and waits for his prize for being so darn good. I am teaching him tricks and he already sits up and prays! He will do anything for a treat. Perkins LOVES popcorn and growls at the others to stay away while he plays with it and then eats it. He is always near and watches everything I do and trys to get involved. He likes to dart into closets and pantry's when you open the door and has been unfortunately locked in them many times, at which point he MEOWS at volume 10 to get freed. He doesn't seem to learn not to do it, I think he knows I would never leave the house without looking for all of my cats and accounting for them.

It is hard to sleep with him on the bed because he attacks and bites through the covers to get at your feet, legs, hands, etc. Whenever he hears us getting ice from the freezer, he comes running and demands to have one to play with and lick. Perla and Perkins love ice. He sits on the counter when I am preparing anything, and tries to reach with his paw and long leg to pull the plate or whatever in his direction. He thinks I won't notice.

Perk loves to watch it snow and chirrups at the flakes. And of course there are the birds which drive him crazy!! He gets upset when I shower and meows the whole time and then Pip Daddy comes in to quiet him down.

Arrival Story:

Perkins was rescued along with his brothers and sister and mother from an abandoned barn. The barn has closed down and everyone moved out and left the poor cats to fend for themselves!!! :(. I rescued/adopted Perkins along with Perla and Presley. Perkins is a very special kitty and I couldn't imagine my days without him!

Favorite Food & Treats:

POPCORN!! Ice cubes, dog kibble (which I don't let him eat although he tries), cheese and sandwich meat, pizza rolls.
